The Raiders (12-1, 5-0) got off to a really quick start in the Class 6A Region 1 Final against the Tigers and future NFL star lineman, Laremy Tunsil. Nick Benton returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a score and Navarre would add another touchdown to take a 14-0 lead after one. The lead would jump to 21-0 in the second before Columbia would put 14 points on the board before halftime to cut the game to 21-14.
 
The Tigers tied it up in the third at 21-21, so this game would be decided in the fourth quarter. The Raiders went on to score the only points in the fourth for their first ever Region Title in school history and ran their winning streak to 11 straight games.
