Navarre Raider History – 2015 – First Undefeated Regular Season

Principal Brian Noack & RB Hasaan Williams
In 2015 the Raiders really came together as one cohesive unit. The season started on the road in Dothan. After a weather delay due to lightning, Navarre rolled up 481 yards rushing on 53 carries and much the same in Week 2 as they gained 407 yards on 34 carries in the win over Catholic.

Another 40+ point effort in Week 3 against Washington had the Raiders off to a 3-0 start, but unfortunately lost the services of Michael Carter for the remainder of the season due to injury. After Carter went down, senior Hasaan Williams really stepped up his game over the remainder of the season. Choctaw came calling in Week 4 and Navarre pulled out the win in a defensive battle with a late field goal. Back to the road in Week 5, and the Raiders easily handled the Vikings to move to 5-0.

Navarre handled conference foe Pace in Week 6, then hosted Escambia in Week 7. The Raiders pulled out the victory in another defensive battle.  Back home in Week 8 against Milton and the defense produced their first shutout of the season…improved to 8-0.

Week 9 brought their ninth straight victory over Gulf Breeze in the Publix Beach Bowl Cup and then they knocked off Niceville in Week 10 for their first ever undefeated regular season at 10-0. Unfortunately in the first round of the playoffs, they fell to Tate in double overtime to end their season at 10-1.

Navarre outscored their opponents in 2015 (414-143). The 414 points set a record for points scored in a season up to that point and the 143 points is a school record for a full season. In 2004, they only gave up 137 points, but only eight games were played that season.
