The Raiders avenged their only regular season loss as six different players found the end zone on this night.
Marlon Courtney III completed 9 of 18 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown and added a 15-yard TD run. Chris Williams led the Navarre rushing attack with 145 yards on 16 carries and a score, while Dante Wright, Jaydin Antonio and Joshua Carter contributed rushing TDs as well. Fernando Gomez produced his first touchdown reception on the season in the win.
Raiders defense and special teams were the difference in this game as they gave the offense the short field on numerous occasions. Carter led the way with 11 tackles and Isaiah Heyward added nine and a sack. Kevin Taich went 3-3 on field goals with a long of 37 yards.

Navarre received rushing touchdowns from Chris Williams, Dante Wright and Garon Finley, while Tyler England (4 receptions/99 yards) hauled in the only touchdown pass from Courtney.
Joshua Carter led the defense with 12 tackles and a tackle for loss and Isaiah Heyward added eight tackles. Wright picked off three of Linke’s passes on the night and Matthew Downey blocked a punt. Joshua Carter had another strong night on the defensive side of the ball with 11 tackles and a tackle for loss. Quinn Caballero added ten tackles and caused two fumbles. Jordan Jefferson got to the quarterback on three different occasions. Kevin Taich had a perfect night kicking as he went 5-5 on extra points and made his only field goal attempt from 33 yards.

The Raiders (2-0) went on the road and defeated the Jaguars in Week 2. WRs Chris Weaver and Kyle Irby were QB Austin Grimm’s primary targets in 2007. Kyle went on to play at Brevard College (NC) and Georgia State University (GA). Chris still holds the Navarre record for most receiving yards in a season (973), receptions in a season (67) and receptions in a game (13); all accomplished in 2007.

For the second consecutive season the Gators gave the Raiders their first and only loss of the regular season.
Marlon Courtney III threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns on 20-35 passing, but it was not enough as the Escambia defense stymied the Navarre rushing attack. Chris Williams hauled in four receptions for 101 yards and Dante Wright grabbed five for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Joshua Carter led the Raiders defense with 12 tackles and Jordan Jefferson added nine tackles, two quarterback hurries and two tackles for loss.

On a Fall rainy night in the Panhandle of Florida, the game came down to the final play of the night on a fourth down conversion.
A heavy dose of Chris Williams (30 carries, 181 yards, TD) and Marlon Courtney’s 204 yards passing and a touchdown got it done for the Raiders. But even with their efforts it would have all been for naught if Courtney wouldn’t have found Tyler England in the back of the end zone on fourth and goal. Dante Wright added the extra point for the win.
