The Raiders avenged their only regular season loss as six different players found the end zone on this night.

Marlon Courtney III completed 9 of 18 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown and added a 15-yard TD run. Chris Williams led the Navarre rushing attack with 145 yards on 16 carries and a score, while Dante Wright, Jaydin Antonio and Joshua Carter contributed rushing TDs as well. Fernando Gomez produced his first touchdown reception on the season in the win.

Raiders defense and special teams were the difference in this game as they gave the offense the short field on numerous occasions. Carter led the way with 11 tackles and Isaiah Heyward added nine and a sack. Kevin Taich went 3-3 on field goals with a long of 37 yards.

39th win in school history – Navarre 21, Crestview 7 (2006)

The Raiders (7-2) won their fifth straight game and recorded their seventh win of the season; both are school records at this time in Navarre history.

The Raiders defense limited Damean Bivins to 133 yards on 28 carries and only allowed QB Kason Linke to complete 36.4% of his passes as they defeated the Patriots for the second time on the season.

Navarre received rushing touchdowns from Chris Williams, Dante Wright and Garon Finley, while Tyler England (4 receptions/99 yards) hauled in the only touchdown pass from Courtney.

Joshua Carter led the defense with 12 tackles and a tackle for loss and Isaiah Heyward added eight tackles. Wright picked off three of Linke’s passes on the night and Matthew Downey blocked a punt. Kevin Taich had another perfect night in the kicking game as he went 5-5 on extra points and 1-1 on field goals (24 yards).

Marlon Courtney led the way on offense once again as he went 8-13 passing for 276 yards (34.5 yards per reception) and two touchdowns and rushed for another. Chris Williams and Dante Wright added rushing TDs and Wright hauled in four passes for 177 yards and two more scores.

Joshua Carter had another strong night on the defensive side of the ball with 11 tackles and a tackle for loss. Quinn Caballero added ten tackles and caused two fumbles. Jordan Jefferson got to the quarterback on three different occasions. Kevin Taich had a perfect night kicking as he went 5-5 on extra points and made his only field goal attempt from 33 yards.

41st win in school history – Navarre 51, West Florida 14 (2007)

The Raiders (2-0) went on the road and defeated the Jaguars in Week 2. WRs Chris Weaver and Kyle Irby were QB Austin Grimm’s primary targets in 2007. Kyle went on to play at Brevard College (NC) and Georgia State University (GA). Chris still holds the Navarre record for most receiving yards in a season (973), receptions in a season (67) and receptions in a game (13); all accomplished in 2007.

The Raiders only completed 4-7 passes, Marlon Courtney III (3-6, 115 yards, TD) and Dante Wright (1-1, 29 yards, TD). Chris Williams led the Navarre ground game with 79 yards on nine carries and a touchdown, while Wright hauled in a 70-yard TD reception from Courtney and Tyler England brought in a 29-yard touchdown from Wright.

Once again, Joshua Carter paced the defense with 14 tackles. Quinn Caballero, Isaiah Heyward and Jordan Jefferson added six tackles each. Jefferson contributed four of the Raiders ten tackles for loss and Grady Kelly added three.

42nd win in school history – Navarre 38, Catholic 22 (2007)

The Raiders (3-0) returned home with a victory against the Crusaders. QB Austin Grimm set the Navarre season record in 2007 with 2,517 yards passing and finished his high school career with 4,087 yards, which currently stands third overall in school history behind Matthew Webb and Marlon Courtney III.

The Raiders got back to their winning ways as Marlon Courtney III passed for 204 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 60 yards on 11 carries and another score as well. Navarre rushed for five TDs on the night, Chris Williams (2), Joshua Carter and Jaydin Antonio. Dante Wright hauled in five receptions for 140 yards and a 78-yard touchdown.

Gabe Davis (6 tackles, 2 TFLs) and Carter (6 tackles, TFL, caused fumble) led the Raiders defensively. Williams added a third TD on a 75-yard kickoff return. Navarre was 7-7 on extra points, Kevin Taich went 4-4 and Wright went 3-3.

43rd win in school history – Navarre 42, Mosley 35 (2007)

Navarre secured their fourth straight win to start the season (first time in school history). This was the first meeting ever between these two teams.

Marlon Courtney III threw for 307 yards and three touchdowns on 20-35 passing, but it was not enough as the Escambia defense stymied the Navarre rushing attack. Chris Williams hauled in four receptions for 101 yards and Dante Wright grabbed five for 98 yards and two touchdowns.

Joshua Carter led the Raiders defense with 12 tackles and Jordan Jefferson added nine tackles, two quarterback hurries and two tackles for loss.

44th win in school history – Navarre 26, Choctaw 24 (2007)

Navarre rebounded after a tough loss on the road to Fort Walton Beach to beat Choctaw and improve to 5-1 on the season.

Tyler England contributed 124 yards on seven receptions and two scores while Quinn Caballero pitched in seven receptions for 70 yards and a TD.

Joshua Carter led the Raiders defense with 14 tackles and a cause fumble and Matthew Downey tallied nine tackles. Dante Wright was a perfect 7-7 on extra points and added a 54-yard rushing TD in the win.

45th win in school history – Navarre 42, Crestview 23 (2007)

Raiders got back to their winning ways at home and finished the 2007 home schedule with a 5-1 record. Navarre would not have much time to enjoy this win over the Bulldogs, as they had a Monday night make-up game against QB Dustin Land and the Milton Panthers.

On a Fall rainy night in the Panhandle of Florida, the game came down to the final play of the night on a fourth down conversion.

A heavy dose of Chris Williams (30 carries, 181 yards, TD) and Marlon Courtney’s 204 yards passing and a touchdown got it done for the Raiders. But even with their efforts it would have all been for naught if Courtney wouldn’t have found Tyler England in the back of the end zone on fourth and goal. Dante Wright added the extra point for the win.

Isaiah Heyward and Joshua Carter led the Navarre defense with seven tackles each. The Raiders forced four turnovers (3 fumbles/interception) in the game. Wright went 2-3 on FGs and 2-2 on extra points.

46th win in school history – Navarre 35, Gulf Breeze 14 (2007)

Navarre scored four touchdowns on plays of 20 yards or more. This was the last win for HC Larry Olson, finishing off a six year stint as the Raiders head coach at 30-29. He led Navarre to their first two playoff appearances (2006 & 2007) in school history.
