In the semifinals against Chiles earlier in the evening, Navarre had to go to overtime to beat the Lady Timberwolves, 27-26. This ensured the Lady Raiders a spot in the finals for the first time ever against the host team…the Niceville Lady Eagles.
The last time these two teams met on 18 March, Niceville won 42-0.
But it would be a different story on this night as the Lady Raiders jumped out to 12-0 halftime lead and the defense made it stand…Final – Navarre 12, Niceville 0…what a turnaround for the Lady Raiders!
This was Navarre’s first District 2A-1 Flag Football Championship in program history.
