Sage Chambers had one of the most prolific games in school history as he went 19-24 for 380 yards and four touchdowns and he also contributed a rushing touchdown.

He needed to accomplish that as Niceville’s Jack White was a one man wrecking crew (12-21, 221 yards, 2 TDs & 15 carries, 190 yards, 2 TDs). Ryan Romar had six receptions for 146 yards and a score for

the Eagles as well.

Dante Wright had four receptions for 144 yrds & 3 touchdowns and Quinn Caballero added seven receptions for 107 yards.

41st win in school history – Navarre 51, West Florida 14 (2007)

The Raiders (2-0) went on the road and defeated the Jaguars in Week 2. WRs Chris Weaver and Kyle Irby were QB Austin Grimm’s primary targets in 2007. Kyle went on to play at Brevard College (NC) and Georgia State University (GA). Chris still holds the Navarre record for most receiving yards in a season (973), receptions in a season (67) and receptions in a game (13); all accomplished in 2007.

On a night where the Raiders didn’t have a 100-yard passer, a 100-yard rusher or a 100-yard receiver, they still managed to put 42 points on the scoreboard over the last three quarters. Cade Taylor led the defense with a dozen tackles (9 solo/3 assists) and a quarterback hurry.

The Raiders (3-0) returned home with a victory against the Crusaders. QB Austin Grimm set the Navarre season record in 2007 with 2,517 yards passing and finished his high school career with 4,087 yards; which currently stands third overall in school history behind Matthew Webb and Marlon Courtney III.

This game was not decided until the final minute, that’s when Dante Wright intercepted a Dylon Kelley pass attempt as the Dolphins had moved the ball into Raider territory.

Sage Chambers went 5-9 for 116 yards and two touchdowns and Joshua Carter rushed for 108 yards on just eight carries. Josh also contributed a team-high 16 tackles, a sack and two tackles for loss and Cade Taylor added 16 tackles and a tackle for loss

Navarre secured their fourth straight win to start season (first time in school history). This was the first meeting ever between these two teams.

Navarre jumped out to a 27-6 halftime lead on Escambia and still had a comfortable lead heading into the fourth quarter at 27-13. But it was all Gators in the fourth quarter as they ran off 22 straight points.

Sage Chambers passed for a 146 yards and a score, but the Raiders could only muster 59 yards on the ground. Dante Wright hauled in four of Chambers’ completed passes for 96 yards and a touchdown.

Joshua Carter had one of his best nights as a Raider as he finished the night with 20 tackles. Bryson Brewer added twelve and Wright pitched in with ten.

45th win in school history – Navarre 42, Crestview 23 (2007)

Raiders got back to their winning ways at home and finished the 2007 home schedule with a 5-1 record. Navarre would not have much time to enjoy this win over the Bulldogs, as they would have a Monday night make-up game at Milton.

Navarre travels to Fort Walton Beach to take on the Vikings to get the 2022 HS football season underway on 26 Aug 2022.

Sage Chambers passed for 120 yards and Omari Green rushed for 114 yards and two scores to lead the Raider offense. Navarre’s defense produced seven sacks in the game.

Navarre beat Gulf Breeze for the second straight year and would go on to beat Gulf Breeze nine straight years before the streak would end in 2016.

Billy Mitchell would sign with the Marshall Thundering Herd; where he would be a 3-year starter at outside/inside linebacker. He attended Navarre as a freshman before his family moved to Oregon for two years (where he was All-State in Track) after Hurricane Dennis hit the Florida Panhandle. But, he would return for his senior year.
