14 days to kickoff of the 2023 Florida HS football season as the Navarre Raiders will host the Catholic Crusaders on 25 Aug 2023 at the comfy confines of Bennett C. Russell Stadium.

The Raiders fell behind early on the road but fought back in the second quarter only to be outscored in the second half (17-0) in the loss to the Eagles to fall to 4-3 on the season.
 
Kyle Chambers went 10-19 for 131 yards through the air and was the leading rusher with 86 yards and Navarre’s only touchdown. Terence Marshall hauled in two receptions for 75 yards and Derek Percivalle added 48 yards on five receptions.
 
The Raiders had four defensive players that registered double-digit tackles on the night; Christian Caballero backed his record setting performance against Pace with 14 tackles and two tackles for loss, Hunter Crowder contributed 12 tackles and a tackle for loss while Devin Wright and Percivalle had 11 tackles each. Caden Howard put the other points on the board with a 31-yard field goal.

The Raiders won the first meeting between these two teams. This was their second win of the season, which led to their first 5-win season in school history. The 2001 season was the last for Head Coach Danny Williams, who finished with a 12-18 record.
