Soundside High School Principal Kasie Windfelder has made her first hire…Head Coach Jay Walls.
Coach Walls has made stops at Suwannee HS (FL), Tift County (GA), Navarre HS (FL) an Bainbridge HS (GA).
He will return to the Navarre area, where he amassed an overall record of 102-33, while winning seven District Titles and registering zero losing seasons. He was the first Raider Head Coach to win 12 games in a season (2012).
He also took the Raiders to the playoffs in 10 of his 12 seasons with a playoff record of 11-10. Navarre won their first two Region 1 Titles in school history under his helm and played in two Class 6A State Semifinals.
Soundside High School will start with Freshman and Sophomore classes this Fall. If they have enough players, they will field a junior varsity and freshman team; if not, then the Hurricanes will field just a junior varsity team. They will not have a varsity squad until Year 3.
