This would be the first of two losses against the Indians in 2014. Matthew Webb connected on 23 of 33 passes for 262 yards and a TD. Quentin Randolph produced 9 receptions for 83 yards and a score and Cameron Mayweather added 8 receptions for 81 yards. Derrick Smith led the ground attack with 112 yards on 16 carries.

The Raiders just couldn’t overcome four turnovers in the game (3 fumbles/interception). Sophomores Bo Hering and Xavier Fernandez led Navarre’s defense with 16 tackles. Tommy Leggett contributed 11 tackles as well. Fernandez had three tackles for loss and the Raiders got to the QB of four different occasions (Hering, Everette Alford, Tyler Morton & Teddy Harrell).

The game was shortened by a lightning storm in the third quarter. QB Matthew Webb threw for 172 yards and 2 TDs and Xavier Fernandez led the defense with nine tackles.

Matthew Webb had another solid night throwing the ball (17-28, 278 yards, 2 TDs), but it was not enough to take down the Eagles on their home turf. Webb’s favorite targets were Tyrell Courtney (4 rec, 116 yards) and Michael Carter (3 rec, 72 yards, 2 TDs).

Xavier Fernandez led the defense with 11 tackles, a TFL and a sack and Everette Alford pitched in 10 tackles, a TFL and a caused fumble.

The Raiders suffered their first loss of the season and fell to 6-1.

Behind Matthew Webb’s 10-16 passing for 152 yards and a TD, Michael Carter’s 85 yards rushing and 2 TDs and Derick Smith’s two receptions for 72 yards, the Raiders were able to score early and often against their Santa Rosa County foe.

A running clock ensued in the third and the Navarre defense was able to stymy the Panthers offensive attack and caused five turnovers in the game. Xavier Fernandez produced nine tackles and a sack on the night and Luke Morton was 6-6 on XPs.

Mother Nature got the best of this night. In the third quarter, with the Raiders up 21-0, a lightning storm struck the Crestview area and sent everyone home early.

Matthew Webb was impressive in two plus quarters as he went 11-16, for 172 yards and 2 TDs, as well as rushing eight times for 70 yards. Michael Carter added 78 yards rushing to lead the Raider ground attack. Quentin Randolph led all receivers with 61 yards on two receptions. Xavier Fernandez led the defense with 9 tackles.

Raiders fell behind 17-7 at the half, then outscored the Gators in the second half, 37-13. Matthew Webb threw for 183 yards and two TDs and also contributed 132 yards rushing on 13 carries and three scores. Xavier Fernandez led the defense with 16 tackles.

On a night when the Raiders ground attack was pretty much nonexistent, they only trailed at the half, 20-9. So, Navarre headed to the locker room and knew it was time to change up the game plan.

As for the War Eagles, future Florida Gator QB Feleipe Franks finished the night, 13-26 passing for 266 yards & four TDs. His favorite target was future FSU WR, Keith Gavin (5 rec, 127 yards, 2 TDs). Wakulla also managed to rush for 219 yards.

Navarre went to air for a school record 472 yards from three different individuals; Matthew Webb (24-46, 378 yards, 4 TDs), Octavien Moyer (1-1, 80 yards, TD) & Caine Adamson (1-1, 10 yards, TD). They fought and clawed their way back and tied the game at 35, sending it to overtime.

The Raiders scored in the first overtime and converted the extra point. The War Eagles scored as well, but instead of going for the tie, the War Eagles coaching staff decided to go for two and the win. Franks called his own number, but the Raiders defense stuffed him just short of the goal line for the win.

Thomas Leggett led the Raiders defense with 10 tackles and an interception on the night. Levonte Geisser had a pick as well.

In the first meeting of the season, the Indians built up a 28-0 lead, only to see it slip away in the second half in a 35-28 loss. Choctaw jumped out to 14-13 lead to the half, then tacked on 14 unanswered in the third quarter to stretch the lead out to 15 and never really looked back. The Raiders would cut it to seven in the fourth, but that would be as close as they would get, ending their season at 7-5.
