Raiders (2-3) made a rare Thursday night visit to Panama City to take on the Dolphins. The Mosley ground attack was just too much for the Navarre defense on this night, as they racked up 370 yards rushing.

Overall series is tied at 2-2. Both of the Raiders losses were Thursday night games on the road.

Coach Chad Lashley shared a video with me for the 2008 season. 139 games ago – Catholic 37, Navarre 23 (2008)

The Raiders (1-2) went to the half up 16-10 on the road. Crusaders came back and tied the game at 23 and went on to outscore Navarre in the second half, 27-7 for the win.

QB Andrew Velasquez went 12-23, 134 yards, TD; but threw three picks. RB Kwamane Howard added two TDs and 59 yards rushing. Billy Mitchell led the defense with 10 tackles, while Adam Hamilton, Walter Hill and Armani Williams added 9 nine tackles each.

Navarre leads overall series, 13-8.

140 games ago – Navarre 20, West Florida Tech 3 (2008)

After falling behind 3-0 after the first quarter, the Raiders (1-1) scored 20 unanswered points in the second quarter to give Coach Lashley his first victory.

QB Andrew Velasquez led the way on offense, going 14-20 for 236 yards and 2 TDs. On defense, Ronnie Wesson registered 11 tackles; while DBs Adam Hamilton and Tre’Von Allen contributed 10 tackles each. Hamilton also tacked on two FGs (with a long of 37).

Navarre leads overall series, 5-0.

141 games ago – Rutherford 29, Navarre 6 (2008)

Raiders (0-1) fall to the Rams at home in Coach Chad Lashley’s inaugural game. Navarre fell behind 9-0 at the half and 22-0 after the third quarter in the loss. This would be the last time that they would play Rutherford.

Raiders lost 32 players to graduation from the Class of 2008 and only have 16 seniors in the Class of 2009.

Overall series is tied at 1-1.

142 games ago – Pace 55, Navarre 13 (2007)

Raiders (7-4) went on the road in the first round of the FHSAA playoffs in Coach Larry Olson’s last game at the helm.

Coach Olson led the program to their first two playoff appearances in school history and their first two seven win seasons; as well as their first District title. He finished his career with a 30-29 record.

Raiders outscored their opponents 320-260 in 2007. The most points that they had scored in a season up to that point.

143 games ago – Navarre 35, Gulf Breeze 14 (2007)

Raiders (7-3) finish the regular season with seven wins and a FHSAA playoff birth for the second consecutive season. This was Navarre’s third game in eight days and it was their first victory over the Dolphins (2-8) in five years.

144 games ago – Milton 50, Navarre 35 (2007)

Raiders (6-3) lost a Monday Night make up game on the road at Milton. This was Navarre’s second game in four days and it was the first night that I sat in the booth for a broadcast.

Raiders (6-2) got back to their winning ways at home and finished the 2007 home schedule with a 5-1 record. Navarre would not have much time to enjoy this win over the Bulldogs, as they would have a Monday night make-up game at Milton.
 
Not only did junior Adam Hamilton have an excellent season at defensive back (116 solo and 52 assists for his career), he also contributed as the Raiders kicker and pitched in on offense as well.

146 games ago – Florida High 17, Navarre 7 (2007)

Raiders (5-2) fall at home for the first time in 2007. The game went to the half tied at 7. Navarre’s offense couldn’t get on track in the second half in the loss.

QB Austin Grimm passed for 17 TDs on the season and finished his two years on varsity with 28 TD passes (both are tied for fourth all-time in Raider history).

Navarre trails in the overall series, 3-1.
